Veterinarian – Feline
- Independent, feline-only, purpose-built and very definitely Gold Standard
- We want colleagues to join us who are passionate about what you do, and of course you like cats!
- Your clinical skills are matched by a commitment to building trusted relationships
The London Cat Clinic, despite the current climate, is continuing to expand our services to enhance the care-offering of our exclusively feline patients. We have just started our referral Ophthalmology services and are in the process of transitioning to 24 hour care for our patients. This brings new opportunities for experienced, feline-friendly, vets to join our team.
Our clinic is independent, purpose-built (winning the 2017 National Veterinary Practice Design Awards) and very definitely Gold Standard. Having just celebrated our 3rd birthday, we now have over 2800 registered patients and continue to grow. We are well situated with excellent transport links being close to London Bridge and the Jubilee Line.
Every advertisement requires that we should tell you we have all the toys. If your wish list includes a CT and MRI, well, we don’t, but if it includes everything other than those two, we most likely do.
Our cat Jasmine has had some bad experiences at vets, and gets very anxious when she has to go. This was our first time at the London Cat Clinic, and we had such a wonderful experience with Dr Catarina. Jasmine fights against being held even at home, when she’s comfortable, but somehow Catarina was able to hold her still, examine her gently and thoroughly, and even give her a vaccination! Dr Cat explained everything clearly, without any hint of hurry, and she took a deep interest in every aspect of Jasmine’s health. I am in awe! Thank you so much for looking after Jasmine so well, and for redeeming our experience with vets. – Hin-Ti Ting (Google Review)
About this role
The role is really varied and is a combination of days and nights. The week of nights are followed by a week off for recovery and recreation.
A love of felines is a given and we want colleagues to join us who are passionate about what you do and will treat our patients, team members and owners with the same care and attention that you yourself would like to be treated. We value all our team members equally and a core value is that the ‘whole is greater than the sum of its parts’. We expect you to feel the same!
We want fabulous vets, whose clinical skills are matched by a commitment to building trusted relationships with our team members and clients.
Ideally, you would have an additional qualification in feline medicine or are studying towards one – if surgery and/or ECC are your bias then we would be really interested to hear from you. The clinic sees a diverse and interesting caseload which will enhance any study or certification theory with practical exposure. If you have experience with an ultrasound probe and know your way around a cat’s abdomen, this would be great, but this isn’t essential.
Salary is based on experience (see above) but will be above average, and in the range of £42,000 – £65,000 per year plus the usual benefits including enhanced CPD, private health insurance, in-clinic benefits etc are all available to the right candidate.
It's time to apply
If you are interested and would like to know more, please send a covering letter and CV in confidence.
